This smooth red blend has aromas of dark cherries, blueberries, candied bacon, and dark chocolate shavings. It is a lovely, easy drinking wine with notes of black cherries and chocolate. You could serve this wine slightly chilled.
Half of this wine came from a blend of Gamay-Pinot Noir that was co-fermented in a stainless steel tank. The Gamay came from a vineyard in West Kelowna and the Pinot Noir from a vineyard in the Similkameen. This fruit-driven component was blended with more robust Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The components were aged in French and American barrels for 6 months prior to blending and bottling.
