One of our most versatile wines is the 2013 Chardonnay. Aromas of citrus, passion fruit, and guava are shadowed by stony flint – a sign that our vines are reaching deep into the
mineral-rich Lillooet earth. Fresh and bright, with a long creamy finish.
This Chardonnay from our estate vineyard was picked on September 24th at 22.0 Brix. After a gentle press cycle, about 30% of the volume was fermented in new and used French barrels, while the remainder was fermented cool in stainless steel tanks. About 25% of the Chardonnay was aged in French barrels for 9 months until bottling on June 2nd 2014.
