100% Grüner Veltliner
Grüner Veltliner is a riper style of wine that originated in Austria. The grapes for this vintage of our classic Grüner Veltliner were sourced from Bordertown in the Okanagan Valley. It was made with only free run juice collected at the press with no skin contact, leading to a very fresh, clean wine. It was cold fermented with an aromatic yeast to produce a complex, aromatic wine. It was aged for 5 months on the lees to add structure and to give a full, creamy texture on the palate.
Food Pairing Notes
Grüner Veltliner pairs beautifully with Wiener Schnitzel, as well as spicy creamy dishes such as butter chicken, or spicy but not overly hot Asian dishes with ginger or lemongrass.
