In 1862, John Calbreath brought camels to Lillooet to carry the heavy loads along the trails during the Gold Rush. Although he lost his camels and a small fortune, his pioneering spirit inspired us to champion a new wine region and build a winery in Lillooet. This fruit-forward and expressive red blend features delightful notes of cherry and blackberry.

A fruit forward blend expressing lots of dark fruit aromas of plum and mulberry with hints of dark chocolate and mocha coming through . A medium bodied red wine with juicy tannins to be enjoyed now or cellar for another 2 to 3 years.

Winemaker Notes
A red blend that had malolactic fermentation take place in tank with oak block alternatives. This leads to notes of chocolate & mocha aromas to develop on the nose. A further maturation of the blend took place in neutral French oak barrels for an additional four months to allow the blend to integrate before preparation for bottling commences.
Food Pairing Notes
Enjoy on its own with friends around the campfire or with BBQ beef burger.
