One of our most versatile wines is the 2013 Chardonnay. Aromas of citrus, passion fruit, and guava are shadowed by stony flint – a sign that our vines are reaching deep into the mineral-rich Lillooet earth. Fresh and bright, with a long creamy finish. Ideal with pan seared scallops, grilled chicken kale salad, or sunset.
Winemaker Notes
This Chardonnay from our estate vineyard was picked on September 24th at 22.0 Brix. After a gentle press cycle, about 30% of the volume was fermented in new and used French barrels, while the remainder was fermented cool in stainless steel tanks. About 25% of the Chardonnay was aged in French barrels for 9 months until bottling on June 2nd 2014.
