William Matthews Public Opening Reception

Join us this evening for the opening of the exhibit of the paintings of William Matthews. William is a landscape painter who lives in Lillooet. Formally trained as a goldsmith specializing in traditional hand-made jewellery making, with a focus in couture jewellery design-work editorialized in Canadian Jeweller, 18KARATI Milan and others. The late B.C painter-Sonia Cornwall was his mentor and wokred as her studio assistant. But most recently, he studied with master painter Deborah Tilby of Victoria BC, however his calling to paint is in the Chilcotin/Cariboo area of Lillooet BC -undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas in the world.
