The Fort Berens Team
In 1862, John Calbreath brought camels to Lillooet to carry the heavy loads along the trails during the Gold Rush. Although he lost his camels and a small fortune, his pioneering spirit inspired us to champion a new wine region and build a winery in Lillooet. Refreshing, versatile, and bursting with tropical fruit flavours, enjoy this wine on the patio or poolside with friends and family.
This 100% estate grown Pinot Noir Rosé will entice you with cranberry, watermelon, and floral aromas. Savour notes of crab apples and strawberries and cream on the palate. This wine has a deliciously long finish, perfect for a sunny day on the patio with friends, family, and a BBQ.
Bursting with notes of juicy mandarin oranges, kiwis, Granny Smith apples, and lemon zest, this Pinot Gris is bright and fruit-forward with a crisp, zesty finish. Pair it with buttered lobster, pasta with an alfredo sauce, or Caesar salad.
Deliciously crisp and mouthwatering, this Dry Riesling has tropical and mineral notes that add complexity to the fruit flavours of Granny Smith apples, orange peel, and citrus. Drink this refreshing wine on its own or pair it with roast chicken, grilled seafood, or shellfish.
Bright and lively with tropical aromas of pineapple and lychee, this Riesling is beautifully balanced with flavours of Honeycrisp apple, pear, and lemon zest. This versatile wine pairs with almost anything, but especially sushi, tapas, and spicy curry dishes.
Made primarily from estate grown Chardonnay grapes, this lightly oaked wine has aromas of ripe yellow apples, pineapple and lemon curd. Medium bodied with flavours of fresh peaches, apricot and granny smith apples leads to a light toasty finish. Pair with roasted chicken or pasta alfredo.
This 375 ml bottle of Late Harvest Muscat is a medium sweet wine that features a beautiful bouquet of honey, cantaloupe, and passion fruit. It pairs perfectly with a cheese and charcuterie board as an appetizer, or savour it with an almond biscotti or a fresh fruit dessert.
Made from grapes primarily from our estate vineyard in Lillooet, this Pinot Noir is aged in French oak barrels. This elegant wine has notes of cherries and berries with a hint of pepper. It is complex with a lingering finish, and pairs perfectly with grilled salmon or game birds.
Inspired by the classic Passe-Tout-Grains from Burgundy, PTG is a blend of 69% Pinot Noir, 24% Gamay and a splash of Merlot. Pale ruby, this wine features enticing aromas of cherry, cranberry and pomegranate. Serve slightly chilled with mushrooms, smoked sausages or spareribs.
This Meritage is a blend of 65% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc. A third of the Merlot was estate-grown with the remainder coming from vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen. The Cabernet Sauvignon came from a vineyard in the Similkameen, the Cabernet Franc from a vineyard near Oliver in the Okanagan. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks and gently pressed before spending almost a year in French and American oak barrels. After bottling in June 2018, the wine was aged another 12 months in our cellars before release.
