Cabernet Franc, traditionally known for blending in world-class Bordeaux wines, has been in demand as a single varietal in recent years. It is a parent grape to other Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and also Carménère. This grape variety naturally has a higher acidity, and the grape and wood tannins that are extracted during winemaking and barrel maturation give this wine longevity.
This library wine pack showcases a selection of beautifully cellar-aged Cabernet Franc vintages to enjoy. The soft and smooth tannins in this varietal make it a great choice to enjoy on its own, or it pairs perfectly with a meat and charcuterie board.
Riesling is one of few noble white wines that can age beautifully. The natural high acidity and low pH makes this ideal for cellaring for a couple of years. This library selection of Riesling is a great example of the aging potential as well as showing the seasonal differences when making the wine.
Enjoy these Rieslings with aged or hard cheeses such as aged cheddar or parmesan and savour the delicate flavours.
Savour the aromas of ripe red fruit, spice box, and violets in our classic Merlot-predominant, fruit-forward Meritage. Enjoy this smooth and soft, medium-to-full-bodied wine with a long finish.
Updated Spring 2021:
This Cabernet Franc has lots of notes in the dark fruit spectrum, including cassis and blueberry. It has a rich mouthfeel with good acidity. This will age well.
